LatinArte is a cultural event which diffuses creations of the Latin-American artists living in Montreal through various disciplines:
* Visual arts;
* Music;
* Literature;
* Dance;
* Movies and photography;
* Theatre
LatinArte showed in its 1st edition the great creative richness of the South-American continent.
The evenings of LatinArte helped the general public discover writers, poets, painters, actors and musicians little known inside the Quebec community until then.
The French and English speaking public was pleased to interact with the Spanish speaking one of Montreal. A multitude of events and exchanges were organized to allow this wonderful encounter. A lot of people came to practice their Spanish or to see other facets of the Latin-American cultural life of Montreal, such as art exhibits, literature, gastronomy, music and dance.
LatinArte takes part in the integration of the Latin-Americans in Canada and their new reality to contribute to a better integration and a better visibility.
OUR MISSION
Live together.
LatinArte is the first cultural event in Montreal for Latin-American art, with a specific selection of artists and cultural events.
OUR VISION
LatinArte is a bridge between the Hispanic and Canadian cultures and more particularly between the culture of the Latin-American countries and the one of Quebec.
LatinArte will discover their common values while increasing the feeling of being a member of the Quebec community. The display diffusing from the Latin-American cultures will allow a better recognition of our identities.
The range of this cultural event will emphasize the similarities between the Quebec and the Latin-American culture. It will facilitate the intercultural relations, showing the importance of solidarity and mutual enrichment.
In addition, LatinArte proposes to be an advertising vehicle for all companies, public or private, which seek to approach the Latin-American public living in Montreal.
